They are down of course, alot of it has to do with consumer confidence. Until the consumer confidence rating goes up, nobody is feeling warm and cozy.

New Home Data

This is obviously not good news for our industry, but the key is the last sentence. New homes create at least 3 jobs and $90k in taxes. Now that is shovel ready job. I am hoping all of our friends in DC read this article.

St. Joe County Building Permits
Building permits are tracking lower than 2010 and 2009. It is on track for another 10% drop this coming year. Interest rates are at record lows. Lumber and Material prices are at 2005 levels. Its a great time to build.
Do you research on those builders to ensure financial stability. Ask them for some suppliers names and contact to see if they pay their bills.
